About a dozen MCTV background actors had a chance to be on set with Andrew Garfield and the rest of the Hacksaw Ridge cast last year.
The next best thing is to hang out and hope to spot him at the premiere being held this Sunday October 16 at the State Theatre in Sydney.
MCTV had about a dozen actors on Hacksaw ridge who were on set regularly from October 2015 through to January 2016. We also had a bunch of other extras who were featured less frequently. It was a great opportunity for everyone involved and you can see how great the trailer is. Can’t wait to see this one when it comes out!
In December ’15 a bunch of MCTV people went for boot camp training for Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge and now the release date has been announced. Not much longer to wait.

Over 40 MCTV actors and extras should be so pleased that Mad Max Fury Road cleaned up at last night’s AACTA Awards. With so many long days and very heavy costumes, the guys who worked on this production put in the hard yards. Of course, plenty of overtime was forthcoming and the pride of being part of an extremely successful production and franchise.
Meanwhile, the original Mad Max himself Mel Gibson is in town filming his own production Hacksaw Ridge. Production is still continuing with MCTV people attending shoots daily.
GEORGE Miller’s epic film Mad Max: Fury Road has been crowned the best film of the Australian industry’s biggest year at the box office since the 1990s.

You may have seen this on the news last night. As well as filming at Fox Studios MCTV Talent have been all over Sydney filming the new film Hacksaw Ridge. Richmond, Bringelly, Goulburn to name a few.

With so much effort put into the new blockbuster Hacksaw Ridge, it’s great to see the boys enjoying themselves on set.
MCTV talent had to attend bootcamp military training to ensure that that their performances would be authentic. MCTV extras and Actors have been working on the production since August with many of them having fairly regular work since then. To keep the production on track there have been many day – night shoots that involved both long hours and plenty of overtime.
A big thankyou has to go to the state government for contributing an undisclosed sum to keep this production in Sydney.
