Mortal Kombat Trailer Drops
The trailer for the new Mortal Kombat movie, which was filmed in Australia and is due for release in April, is out.
A few lucky MCTV members were involved in shooting pick up scenes for the film late last year. A pick-up is a small, relatively minor shot filmed or recorded after the fact to supplement footage already shot. Pick-ups usually address issues with plot, continuity or quality. These can be close-ups, cutaways, or shots of the same scene from different angles.
Pick-ups can occur after principal photography is complete after sets have been dismantled, costumes stored and cast and crew have moved onto other projects. Because of this, pick-ups will often feature replacement actors and extras (enter MCTV!) to replicate the original footage and provide a seamless transition between the new shots and principal photography.
The trailer contains all the gore and language you’d expect from Mortal Kombat. If appropriate, you can check it out here.
