Michael Wong explains how much fun he has had meeting new people and challenging himself.
How Long have you been with MCTV?
I have been with MCTV for about 6 months.
What do you do when you are not working in Film and TV?
I am either reading a book, beatboxing, working on my performance car, but mostly spending QT with my amazing wife.
What Jobs have you worked on?
There are heaps of random cool productions that MCTV has placed me on (Jackie Chan film, music video, Top of the Lake, Macquarie Bank, McDonald’s, Cleverman, etc.), but for a big screen one, I was a camera man on a Bollywood film titled “My name is Khan”
Best/ Memorable Moments on set?
Each set has had amazing people, cast, workers, extras, and amazing catering. Ha-ha, there are way too many moments to list. I highly recommend you come to set with a positive attitude, no matter what part you are cast for, utilise the opportunity to network! It’s all about enjoying the time you spend with those around you, you never know who will be the next superstar!
Most difficult part about working on set?
I think the most difficult part, would be trying to not make new friends!
Tips for others who are getting started.
My biggest tip is to never give up, it always starts off slow no matter what you do in life. But take those auditions that you don’t land, an opportunity to learn, to grow, and go full force on the next one! Growth mindset! (search that one up!)
