MCTV people standing in for the new season of Bachelor
/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by SudsyA group of MCTV people were on set as stand-ins for the hugely popular series The Bachelor. Stand-ins are not body doubles to be 100% clear. Stand-ins take the place of the real actors (or in this case contestants) for the purpose of lighting and sound rehearsals among other things. The stand-ins need to be of a similar build and complexion to the actors who will be playing the roles. As a stand-in you get great experience on set taking direction and often get to brush shoulders with major stars.
Hundreds of MCTV People submitted for new SBS drama
/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by SudsyWe have been submitting hundreds of people for a new SBS crime drama by the same people who brought you Redfern Now and Ready for this Blackfella Films . On SBS’s twitter feed they describe it as a show that “uncovers the gay hate crime epidemic in Syd during the 80s & 90s”. They also describe it as “A cross-genre/platform event” which I guess means there will be online components as well.
Here Come the Habibs renewed for a second season
/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by SudsyWith so many MCTV talent working on the first season of Here Come the Habib’s we are delighted to hear the news that it has been renewed for a second season. This was a bold move by Channel Nine to commission this new comedy and hopefully the success will spur them on further. It will mean more work for MCTV Talent when filming starts up again.
A risky move into comedy pays off with Nine greenlighting more of its new sitcom.
MCTV People working on skits for the Footy Show
/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by SudsyMost years we are called upon to supply talent for the various skits and other productions that go along with The Footy Show. The people who are selected are lucky enough to have a giggle and get paid too. You can see that the team doesn’t take themselves (or others) too seriously so it’s always a great gig.
Soul Mates season 2 Production underway
