Sport is better without the boring bits
The team at Goodoil Films produce magnificent work. This spot for Rapid Rugby is no exception. Our MCTV people who were on set assure us that no-one was hurt in the making of this commercial.

You’ve probably seen the ads for Visa on TV with Ronny Chieng jumping on a water taxi. If you dug a little deeper you may have found the mock reality TV series that is connected with the campaign. Mattias and Fiona had a ball shooting “The Urban Survivalist” with Ronny Chieng earlier this year. They even scored a mention in the credits.
David did such a great job in this commercial for Ram Utes that they recently renewed the commercial for another year (click through to see the clip). That’s pretty great news for David because he has now received a rollover payment in addition to the original fee. That rollover payment is almost as much as the original amount and a completely unexpected payment in the lead up to Christmas. Nice work David!
106 MCTV People took part in the filming of Peter Rabbit 2 earlier this year (Click through for the trailer). We have an awesome track record of getting people work on big budget films and TV series. Most productions that come to town have 100 to 200 MCTV people on them. We are pretty excited about the prospects for next year now that Disney owns Fox Studios. There are already two major films announced Shang-Chi and Thor but there’s every chance there will be more.
Our very own Marc cops a cup of hot coffee to the face in this cute promo for the Aria Awards (click through for video). He plays the straight man of the duo very well in my humble opinion. I bet he’s glad he only had to act as the assistant and not be Guy’s assistant for real.
In a much darker portrayal of The Invisible Man than the 1933 original (click through for trailer), Elisabeth Moss is tormented by her ex lover. Made worse by the fact that everyone around her thinks she is crazy. Looking at the trailer, there’s no hint that this whole production was filmed in Sydney, but I will be watching keenly to spot the scenes from Martin Place. In total, there were 91 MCTV People who were part of the filming earlier this year and with a February release date, there’s not long to wait.
See the trailer for the new movie here and a taste of the 1933 film after.
and snippets from the original
If you were one of the 98 MCTV people who were part of the filming of Doctor Doctor Season 4 earlier this year there’s good news. The series will air in 2020 after being delayed from the initial release for 2019. We also have our fingers crossed for a possible season 5 but it’s too early to make a call on that.
Marvel fans went nuts when they saw that the star of Shang-Chi was in Sydney. It seems that Simu Liu is quite taken with the beauty of Sydney. Fans of the movie put two and two together and concluded that production is starting soon.
Here at MCTV we have to remain tight lipped. Any of our MCTV background and featured actors who work on the production won’t be able to share their experiences publicly until well after the film is released. It’s a small price to pay to be involved in something so exciting.

With so many of the AACTA nominations for Television series being produced in Sydney, you can’t help be proud of the great work that is being done in this city. MCTV people appear in at least nine of the nominated series. Mr Inbetween, The LetDown, Lambs of God, On the Ropes, Secret City, Total Control, Hardball, The Unlisted and Frayed all have MCTV people playing roles. Many of these series have also been picked up for international distribution and are gaining a following offshore.
Viveka and Julius were pretty excited to see themselves in this new Beat Storm Season spot with Johnathan Thurston. You can check out the full video below. Well Done Guys.

Over that time, there is no additional charge for updating the photographs as the child’s look changes. Our simple package comes with everything you need to get started.
