Jobs for 1500 NSW extras
A new rom-com feature film is due to start production in NSW shortly. The yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy will be directed by Will Gluck (‘Peter Rabbit‘) and has attracted government funding in anticipation of a $41m injection into the NSW economy. According to if Magazine, 1,500 roles for extras are anticipated on the movie.
Plot details are under wraps, but the movie will star Sydney Sweeney (‘White Lotus’, ‘Euphoria’) and Glen Powell (‘Top Gun: Maverick’) alongside Michelle Hurd, Darren Barnet and Hadley Robinson. Aussie Bryan Brown has also been announced as part of the cast.
Although specific locations have not been revealed, Gluck has previously hinted Sydney may be the location:
“After two wonderful experiences on the Peter Rabbit movies, my family and I have a deep connection to Sydney and Australia,” he said.
“I am so excited to make a movie that shows Sydney for Sydney, especially because I won’t have to ‘frame out the Opera House’.”
This is going to be huge, lots of submissions happening now. More to come…
