The Gift
‘The Gift That Gives’ is a romantic comedy to be filmed in Sydney next month. It follows the story of Callum Mori, an author who appears on fictional TV show, ‘The Arts Corner’ to promote his latest book.
The show is hosted by Kate, who is infatuated with Callum. Callum, however, falls for her best friend, Linda.
Linda owns the bookshop where Callum launches his book and luckily for Kate, fate brings her and Callum’s brother, Austin, together as they discover hidden love letters, signed by aliases. Jointly, they all try to find out who penned them.
The movie will be the fourth rom-com for director Joy Hopwood (top left). Main cast have now been announced – Takaya Honda, HaiHa Le, Lily Brown-Griffiths, Damien Sato , Susan Ling-Young and Lex Marinos (OAM). Accompanied by a great supporting cast who include Maria Tran (‘Last King of the Cross‘), Andy Trieu, Genevieve Craig, and Atharv Kolhatkar.
Filming is expected to commence in Sydney in January. More to come…
