MamaMia! more Sydney Stories
Foxtel has announced a new Aussie comedy-drama ‘Strife’, to be filmed in Sydney next year. Seven-time Logie-winning actor Asher Keddie will join some of the country’s most celebrated creative talents to bring the memoir of Sydney born and raised MamaMia creator, journalist and internet entrepreneur Mia Freedman to the screen.
The show will be set around a decade ago against the backdrop of new digital media, with Keddie playing Evelyn, the founder of Eve, a fast-growing website aimed at women, while also juggling the demands of parenting, a marriage breakdown and a world where public and private lives become blurred. It will be produced by Bruna Papandrea from Made Up Stories (‘Penguin Bloom‘, ‘Wolf Like Me‘, ‘Pieces of Her‘, ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’)
‘Colin from Accounts‘, which was filmed earlier this year was also announced as part of the 2023 offering from Foxtel.
